Woods Foodservice van

Woods Foodservice is expanding its offer with eight new suppliers ahead of Christmas.

The new partnerships will bring the London-based specialist wholesaler a new range of premium items including smoked salmon, charcuterie, smoked meats and regeneratively farmed flour.

The range has been selected to “meet the needs of discerning customers and high-end menus”, according to the wholesaler.

New suppliers include Italian deli Levoni, Spanish producer Beher, and Devon-based The Real Cure.

Woods customers will also have access to Wildfarmed’s flour range, as well as Rodda’s Cornish clotted cream, Severn & Wye smoked salmon and assorted canapés, and Marco Pierre White’s Farmhouse Cuisine smoked meats and fish.

“At Woods, we understand that the festive season is about indulgence and quality, but it’s also an opportunity to make meaningful choices,” said Woods MD Darren Labbett.

“By partnering with suppliers who share our values, we can support foodservice operators to deliver exceptional dining experiences while embracing sustainability, over the Christmas season and beyond.”

The Confex member is forecasting a 30% year-on-year increase in December sales.

Woods co-MD Lana Bhikha said: “This year we expect an even greater surge in demand as our client base of high-end restaurants, gastropubs, hotels and event caterers ramp up their operations to accommodate Christmas events.”
