Work is set to start next month on The Co-operative Group’s new regional distribution centre in Andover, Hampshire.
The society got the go-ahead in February for the 467,891 sq ft RDC, which will create 900 new jobs in the area.
Developer Goodman said the RDC would be developed with a high-spec design with a BREEAM rating – measuring its environmental impact – of ‘very good’.
“This significant development is one of the largest pre-let transactions to be announced in the UK over the last 12 months and we are pleased to be undertaking it on behalf of The Co-operative Group,” said Goodman’s group chief executive Greg Goodman.
