Brakes expands French operation
Limonest, France: Brake France has acquired French foodservice wholesaler Rault, which has a portfolio of more than 3,000 grocery and dairy products and a network of 10 depots. The acquisition would complement Brake France's existing business, said Frank McKay, CEO of Brakes Group. "This acquisition will strengthen our infrastructure in the west of France and will enable us to provide a wide range of grocery products to other regions in the country," he added. "Rault's predominantly grocery-based offering allows us to provide a cross-temperature service to customers in France and beyond."
