First move into US for Bakkavör


Reykjavik: Bakkavör Group has entered the US market through the acquisition of fresh and frozen foods manufacturer Two Chefs on a Roll, which makes bakery products, sauces, soups and savoury dips for the US retail and foodservice markets. It had a turnover of $38.6m (£19.6m) in 2007. Bakkavör has also acquired Chinese fruit and vegetable provider Yantai Longshun Foods for an undisclosed sum.
