Wyke Farms is making a big push on butter as it looks to expand its reach in the dairy aisles.
The Somerset processor has overhauled pack designs for its premium Wyke Farms Salted and Unsalted Farmhouse Butter blocks in a bid to revive supermarket listings for the range.
The “luxurious” packs, with illustrations depicting its heritage, rolled into Co-op, Lidl and Tesco stores in the South West (rsp: £1.20 for 250g) this month.
The butter re-brand was part of Wyke Farms’ wider efforts to establish itself as one of the UK’s largest premium dairy brands, said MD Rich Clothier. “The butter & spreads category provides an area of growth for us,” he added. “We are confident that our new packaging will communicate our unique offering in the fixture, helping the shopper to make informed choices.”
