Yealands

New Zealand winery Peter Yealands has rolled out a promotional neck collar offering shoppers the chance to “see sustainability in action”, with tickets for a 10-day trip to the brand’s homeland up for grabs.

The tag has rolled into Sainsbury’s, Co-op, Booths and Waitrose stores on bottles of Yealands’ Sauvignon Blanc, Reserve Sauvignon Blanc and Sauvignon Blanc Rosé.

Four winners will be flown to New Zealand to “witness up close the variety of ways in which Yealands is at the cutting edge of sustainable wine production”, said the brand, with accommodation in a four-star hotel and spending money included.

The competition will run until 31 May, with 200 packs containing two bottles of Yealands’ wine also to be won.

Sustainable production was “at the core of everything we do” said brand owner Peter Yealands. “It can be fun and engaging, not just a scientific concept. We have been developing new ways of working in harmony with nature, which I’m sure our visitors will enjoy seeing, including the establishment of habitats to encourage vital flora and fauna such as native birds and monarch butterflies.”
