Yoko Ono has become the latest in a series of famous artists to create a limited edition label for Beck’s beer.
The artist’s work harks back to her childhood of war and will adorn 1,000 bottles. Other famous names who have produced images for the brand include Gilbert and George, Damien Hirst and Tracey Emin.
Paul Stanger, customer marketing director at Scottish Courage Brands, said: “The idea of commissioning artists to produce customised bottle labels for Beck’s was conceived in 1987 when Gilbert and George put their work on bottles of beer. Two thousand bottles were produced.”
