Yorkshire Provender has extended its soup portfolio with a ‘world-inspired’ range.
The Journeys in Flavour duo, influenced by the travels of founders Belinda and Terry Williams, is being rolled out into The Co-operative Group stores now comprising variants Thai Green Chicken Noodle and Indian Spiced Vegetable (rsp: £2.49/600g), with each flavour containing two of the recommended 5 a day. Both are gluten-free and contain no added sugar.
With a mixture of cumin, ginger and chilli, the Indian soup contains 384 calories, while the Thai variant contains 354 calories.
The range would especially appeal to the ‘younger soup lover’, said Belinda Williams, adding that the ‘no added sugar’ credentials were clearly communicated on pack to “give consumers reassurance”.
