Seafood company Young’s is combining two 70s favourites in its latest launch.
Scampi Kievs are made from Scottish scampi stuffed with garlic butter and covered in breadcrumbs and retail at rsp £3.99 for a 250g bag. They join Young’s other scampi products Premium Wholetail Scampi and Scampi with a Hint of Lemon.
“We know consumers love the quality of Young’s scampi and the taste of classic Kiev,” said Helen Taylor, marketing communications controller. “The launch will reinforce Young’s position as market leader in the scampi category.”
The UK scampi market is worth £54m and grew 16% last year, Young’s reported.
