Zizzi has expanded its grocery range with two Rustica pizzas and a ready meal.
Both pizzas (rsp: £4.50) have a tomato base with mozzarella, and are packaged with a drizzling sauce.
Sticky Pig features a parmesan and porcini mushroom béchamel sauce with slow-cooked pulled pork, Italian ’nduja, pepperoni crumb, red pepper pearls and hot honey to drizzle.
Aubergine Parmigiana, meanwhile, includes aubergine, semi-dried cherry tomatoes, basil pesto and grated regato cheese. It comes with basil oil to drizzle.
The ready meal – Pappardelle Beef Ragu (rsp: £3.75) – features pulled beef in a red wine and sun-dried tomato ragu with pappardelle pasta.
Zizzi has also reformulated several of its products, including its “new and improved” Garlic Bread with Mozzarella (rsp: £2.75) and Casareccia Chicken Piccante (rsp: £3.75).
Sticky Pig, Pappardelle Beef Ragu and the reformulated Casareccia Chicken Piccante have hit Tesco freezers.
Both pizzas and the reformulated garlic bread have launched into Waitrose.
“Waitrose and Tesco shoppers will be able to enjoy the restaurant experience with our delicious Zizzi favourites which we’ve worked hard to adapt for at-home dishes,” said Zizzi retail & grocery director Rachel Hendry.
“We have also improved our recipes to ensure they continue to closely align to the in-restaurant dishes. We’re really proud of the extensive range suiting all tastebuds and can’t wait for our loyal fanbase as well as new customers to taste and enjoy.”
