What was your first-ever job? Working at the local greengrocer. My most vivid memory is wearing fingerless gloves in the winter as the door was always kept open, even when it was snowing!

What’s been your worst job interview? An interview for a part-time waitressing job while at university. Part of the interview was to serve a table of eight people with food and I dropped three plates on the floor.

What was the first music single you bought? Wham’s Wake Me Up Before You Go Go!

How do you describe your job to your mates? I create pictures and stories for a living! All those years spent designing my own Crayola crayon masterpieces have paid off.

What is the most rewarding part of your job? Getting to eat Peter’s Pies every day - who wouldn’t call that rewarding?

What is the least rewarding part? Having to spend hours in the crossfit gym to work off all the pies I’ve eaten!

What is your motto? Life is not a dress rehearsal, so don’t compromise on what you want.

If you were allowed one dream perk what would it be? The month of December as a four-week holiday so I could ski for 31 long days!

What’s your favourite movie and why? Cool Runnings. It’s a great comedy, I love winter sports and it shows that you can be successful, even if you don’t win - all you need is determination and a great team.

If you could pick a celebrity to join your staff who would it be and why? Sir Tom Jones. He is straight-talking yet polite, always brings a smile to people’s faces and he’s Welsh through and through.

If you could change one thing in grocery what would it be? I recently visited the US and was overwhelmed with the abundant choice of fresh produce. It would appear waste was not high on the retailer agenda and this made a huge difference to the consumer perception and experience.

What luxury would you have on your desert island? A radio so I can listen to music to influence my mood, be entertained by the debates and keep up to date with the news and the rugby.

What animal best reflects your personality and why? A springer spaniel because like the spaniel I’m a hard worker, yet at home I’m affectionate and cuddly.
