Colin Fletcher was elected national president of the National Federation of Retail Newsagents at the association’s annual conference this week.
Fletcher was vice president and chairman of the NFRN’s news operations and charities committee last year. He runs Andersons News in Chandlers Ford, Hampshire.
Outgoing president Alan Smith said: “Thanks to Colin, our charities - the Ratcliffe Fund and Carl Bridgewater Fund - have come to the aid of hundreds of members who have fallen on hard times.” Martyn Brown was voted in as national vice president, Ralph Patel was elected deputy vice president.
