Artisanal spirits supplier Ellers Farm Distillery has appointed Jamie Munro to the newly created role of marketing manager.
He has joined from his previous role as sales & marketing manager at Whitetail Spirits, a business he founded in 2016 and for which he secured listings in Co-op and Selfridges. In November, he left Whitetail in the hands of directors Laurence and Katherine Mackay.
He will now focus on developing brand positioning for Ellers Farm and its carbon neutral Dutch Barn Orchard Vodka, in the UK and overseas.
“After a successful first year launching our hero Dutch Barn Orchard Vodka and Small Batch Spirits brands, we are looking forward to strengthening our growth and welcoming Jamie to the team will be a key part of that,” said Ellers MD Andy Braithwaite.
The distillery was “keen to make the most of Jamie’s entrepreneurial attitude and passion for the industry so we can continue growing Dutch Barn Orchard into one of the world’s best vodkas” he added.
Munro said he was “thrilled to be joining such an innovative business in Ellers Farm Distillery, who take such a conscious effort to acknowledge their climate presence”.
The business’ “desire to produce innovative, high-quality products in the most sustainable way possible, balanced with its brilliant people and culture, is truly exciting to me and I am thrilled to be a part of it,” he added.
Ellers Farm debuted Dutch Barn Orchard Vodka in March 2022. The 40% abv spirit is made from apples and potatoes grown in the UK, and produced using 100% renewable energy. Packaged in brown, 60%-recycled glass, it has listings in Waitrose and Amazon.
