PepsiCo departure 

PepsiCo UK's wholesale director Andy Thompson, has left the company after 16 years to pursue other ventures. He is replaced by David Biggs who has been at PepsiCo for 10 years, with previous roles including direct to store director. 

Fisher in buying role 

Waitrose has created a new role in its beers, spirit and tobacco buying department for Giles Fisher. He will take on some of the buying responsibilities of Justin Howard-Sneyd, MW, who was promoted to manager of wine buying last year. Fisher will become buying manager for beers, spirits and tobacco next week. 

Clark joins Dairy UK 

Will Clark has joined Dairy UK as its sustainability and environmental manager. In his new role, he will manage Dairy UK's climate change agreement with the government, which sets the dairy industry targets for cutting its greenhouse gas emissions. Clark replaces Gareth Stace, who has moved to the Engineering Employers' Federation. He brings six years' experience in environmental management to the company. 

Burn's ambassador 

Burn Stewart Distillers has appointed Donald Colville as company brand ambassador. Colville has previously worked at Oddbins and the Springbank Distillery and will be responsible for promoting the company's whiskies, such as Black Bottle and Bunnahabhain, on a global basis. 

Braddock retires 

Rick Braddock is retiring as a non-executive director at Cadbury Schweppes. Braddock has been on the board since 1997 and will step down on 24 May 2007. Ellen Marram will take over his position on the board on 1 June.
