How do you describe your job to your mates? I'm the Piemarketer! I look after the reputation of one of the most recognised brands in North West England and makers of my favourite pies. Managing new and existing products means it's part of my job description to sample them every day.

What is the most rewarding part of your job? Launching successful new products into the marketplace. It's great to see a product develop from an initial concept through to the finished article in people's shopping baskets and homes.

What is the least rewarding part? Signing off packaging. It's something that has to be done, but it can be very time-consuming and is definitely a job that gets moved to the bottom of the daily pile.

What is your motto in life? Have no regrets.

If you were allowed one dream perk what would it be? School holidays off. Twelve weeks holiday a year sounds very favourable to me.

What's your favourite movie and why? Law Abiding Citizen. It's a fantastic and entertaining thriller and Gerard Butler doesn't look too shabby either.

What has been the most embarrassing moment in your life? Last year I was at a shoot for the Holland's TV campaign. We had a home economist there to meticulously cook and style the food. Halfway through the day, I was getting peckish and decided to take advantage of all the lovely pies we had on set. What I didn't appreciate was that the one I had just sunk my teeth into was due on set at any moment and the home economist had spent a painstaking hour making it look perfect. Things went from bad to worse when my MD turned up wondering what the hold-up was.

Do you have any phobias? I didn't think I had any phobias until I climbed 10,000 feet to jump out of a plane for charity. When it was my turn to jump I was petrified but in the end I was persuaded (or was I pushed?) to jump and I'm delighted I did.

If you could pick a celebrity to join your staff who would it be and why? Peter Kay. His northern roots and humour are very much in line with the Holland's brand values and I know he would fit in well with the team at the bakery.

If you could change one thing in grocery what would it be? For more retailers to introduce software systems to ensure effective planogramming of regional brands, delivering consumer choice and better in-store implementation.
