What was your first-ever job? Working on the deli counter at Partridges not the most glamorous job but I sold Michael Caine some Cheddar! My first marketing job was at Boots as an assistant product manager on complementary medicines I met some interesting people who were passionate about the latest herbal remedy or aromatherapy.
What was the first music single you bought? Take on Me by A-ha. I loved the video and wanted to be that girl who got pulled into the comic book by Morten Harket.
How do you describe your job to your mates? I eat Betty Crocker cake for a living! I'm having to stop myself from eating it every day now I'm getting married soon!
What is the most rewarding part of your job? Having real ownership for the brand, and the lack of hierarchy in General Mills. I feel I can make real decisions and have direct influence through our leadership team. Plus eating lots of cake, of course.
What is the least rewarding part? Washing up after all the cake baking and tasting.
What is your motto in life? It has to be 'Let them eat cake' from Marie Antoinette.
What's your nickname? Since starting at General Mills, some friends call me Betty, but usually it's a play on my surname, like Swingy.
If you were allowed one dream perk what would it be? I've got it already! Free Betty Crocker cake, a help-yourself Häagen-Dazs fridge, and we finish at 3pm every Friday that's a great benefit.
What has been the most embarrassing moment in your life? When I forgot my passport on the way to a job interview in Paris. Luckily I got home in time to pick it up and get the flight. I had time to calm down, and I got the job!
Do you have any phobias? I am not big on spiders or anything creepy crawly, but at the moment the phobias are wedding related, ie I'm wearing the wrong thing on the day.
Which celebrity would you pick to join your staff? I'd love Betty Crocker to come to life so I could hang out with her I think she'd be serious, but deep down she'd be a fun 'gal' to hang out and share a cheeky cupcake or two with.
What luxury would you have on your desert island? Betty Crocker cake of course! Also, plenty of Häagen-Dazs and Champagne am I allowed more than one?
What animal best reflects your personality and why? A combination of Tigger and Owl from Winnie the Pooh Tigger because I am full of beans, and Owl because I want to seem that wise.
