Andrew Large is set to take over from Peter Bradnock as chief executive of the British Poultry Council this summer.

Large, currently chief executive of the Cleaning and Support Services Association, will succeed Bradnock when he retires after 22 years with the BPC, the last 20 as chief executive.

Large has a civil service background and has also worked for the Federation of Master Builders and Trade Association Forum.

Bradnock joined the BPC in 1991 from the New Zealand civil service, where he specialised in international and EU agricultural trade policy.

BPC chairman John Reed said the poultry sector was “very grateful” for Bradnock’s service.
