Parfetts cash and carry wholesaler has welcomed one of its former employees, Greg Suszczenia, back to the fold, appointing him trading manager for grocery food and non-food.

Over 15 years with Parfetts, Suszczenia worked his way up to general manager at the depot in Halifax, but left four years ago to set up two independent convenience stores in Doncaster.

“As we had small children and I wanted to spend more time with my family, I left Parfetts to start my own family business,” he said.

“However, the children are now at school, and my wife runs the shops, so when the opportunity arose to return to Parfetts, it was the new challenge I was looking for.

“I’ve always had a lot of time for the company and the Parfett family, and the business is run with a similar ethos to my own so it was an easy decision to return to the fold.”

Parfetts managing director Steve Parfett was equally enthusiastic about Suszczenia’s return to the wholesaler. “It is a delight to welcome Greg back to the Parfetts team. He was an integral part of the success achieved,” he said. “He is a great asset to our trading team, and now brings even greater knowledge to the role with his experience as an independent retailer.”
