Pilgrims Choice is launching a Lighter Mature Farmhouse Cheddar with half the fat of the company's standard mature Cheddar cheese.

The flavour-level four product is launched as the Pilgrims Choice portfolio undergoes a packaging revamp. It will be supported by the brand's biggest marketing push to date.

"Health-conscious consumers can now enjoy the quality and taste of a handmade Pilgrims Choice farmhouse cheese in the full knowledge that they continue to get all the health benefits of calcium, protein and vitamins, but with only half the fat," said Mike Davies, managing director.
