Beyond Meat has launched its full frozen range into Morrisons.
The plant-based brand’s range is available in over 460 Morrisons nationwide and will include the Beyond Burger, Beyond Sausage, Beyond Mince and Beyond Meatballs (rsp: £4 per pack, reduced to £3 until 23 January).
It follows the launch of Beyond Meat’s burger and sausage products into Morrisons’ chilled aisle in September 2022. Beyond Meat’s frozen range is also on offer in Ocado at £3 per product throughout January, down from £4/4.20 per product.
“Just in time for Veganuary, we’re delighted to be extending our Beyond Meat product range into Morrisons to encourage the nation to swap animal meat for plant-based meat,” said Steve Dalby, regional sales manager UK at Beyond Meat.
“Going plant-based is much easier than you might think, kinder on the planet and tastes incredible too,” he added.
Beyond Meat already has the full frozen range available in Tesco and Ocado, with Sainsbury’s also offering the frozen meatball, mince and burger.
The brand has also teamed up with celeb and 1990s pop star Peter Andre to “inspire the nation” to take a first step towards a more plant-based diet this Veganuary.
The PR and social campaign, titled Take The First Step Beyond, includes an online cooking competition fronted by Andre – which will encourage Brits to swap animal meat for plant-based meat.
The winner will receive an all-expenses trip to London and a chance to cook with Andre.
It comes as Beyond Meat last month announced McDonald’s was rolling out its Double McPlant burger, which contains two of the brand’s patties and first went on sale last year, across all its restaurants in the UK and Ireland.
