David Collard is the new chief executive officer for Bart Spices.
Collard takes up the role on 6 June, joining from the Dormen Food Company where he was managing director for three years. He has worked in the food sector for 16 years, including with Kerry Foods.
"I am very excited about getting started at Bart," he said. "They have a vast knowledge of the ingredients world and I'm looking forward to developing our offering as well as adding my own little bit of spice!"
He succeeds Matthew Shaw, who has been with Bart for eight years but is leaving the business to fully recover from back surgery. He will remain a shareholder in the company.
Bart Spices chairman Steven Esom said: "Matthew's contribution has been extensive, we are sorry to see him go and wish him a swift and complete recovery."
