Andrew Harrison, former general manager of Müller Dairy UK, has returned to the retail scene as interim category marketing director for Boots.
Harrison has been signed up on a six-month trial contract, beginning on Monday. He will develop its healthcare, beauty and own label marketing, reporting to Andrew Brent, executive marketing director.
Harrison left Müller Dairy UK on June 30 last year, after presiding over developments such as the launch of premium range Amoré and Müllerlight's entry into yoghurt drinks. Insiders claimed he had failed to impress senior management at Müller, despite the fact its yoghurt brand remains the UK top seller in the category.
His previous roles also included marketing director for Nestlé Rowntree and marketing director of Coca-Cola GB, where he was responsible for the acquisition of Schweppes/Dr Pepper from Cadbury.
