Danone UK has appointed Francois Rillet, former head of health at Danone France, as the new marketing director following the departure of Martin Theiss last month.
With a marketing budget of about £25m, Rillet will now be responsible for promoting Danone's dairy brands, including Shape, St Ivel, Actimel and Activia. He had been working as the head of health in France since the start of 2006.
Theiss joined Danone UK in 2004 from a senior position in the company's German office. It has not yet been confirmed whether he has taken up a new role. The changes come a year after Marnix Eikenboom was appointed as the new UK MD.
