Katherine Hunter has been appointed to the board of Young's Seafood as supply chain director.
The position is a newly created role within the company, which now has turnover of £500m, and Hunter will be responsible for delivering a supply chain management strategy.
She has joined Young's after 14 years in various roles across Mars - the last three of which were spent in New Jersey, where she led a global program delivering common supply chain planning processes.
"Young's is a dynamic food company, which is also playing a leading role in the responsible fisheries agenda," said Hunter.
"Continued growth means a more complex supply chain. Managing this development effectively while continuing to deliver customer service is a challenge that I am looking forward to," she added.
"There are many issues to consider and this is a challenging time for the industry, so this is definitely a role I can really get my teeth into."
