Ian Croxford has resigned as chief executive of cake supplier Inter Link Foods after its recent acquisition by the Irish baker McCambridge. But he is "hungry for another challenge" and proud to have put the business back on the right track, he told The Grocer. "In terms of my future, I am talking to venture capitalists and private equity groups - but I enjoy the food and drink industry as well," said Croxford. "During my short time at Inter Link I kept the business afloat through difficult times. "It would be great to have another challenge and to turn around another struggling business. The steady status is not for me." Croxford was group operations director of Premier Foods before he joined Inter Link Foods in May after the company had issued several profit warnings, in order to deal with falling sales and a £63m debt - as well as the takeover talks with McCambridge and other interested parties.
