What was the most influential product launch over the past 150 years?
The biggest innovation is probably the rise in chilled foods and ready-to-cook dishes. It’s amazing how that industry has developed. It’s been revolutionary.
How important a tool has The Grocer been to your career?
The Grocer really is the bible for the industry. We get three or four copies every week and they’re passed around and people make a big noise if they don’t get to read it. It’s vital to the industry and there’s nothing like it. Nothing covers the industry as well. It’s balanced and outspoken and it supports both the retail and the manufacturing side.
