What was your first-ever job? Pea picking in Warwickshire to save up for my gap year.
What was your worst job interview? A gap year job with the Australian Kidney Foundation during my trial session I was caught pretending to be a pilot with my telesales headset on. Suffice to say, I didn't get the job
What was the first music single you bought? I have never had the best taste in music. I think it was Michael Jackson's 'Beat It'.
How do you describe your job to your mates? In short, I'm a tea boy! I help Cafédirect, our smallholder growers and our grocery customers sell as much tea, coffee and hot chocolate as possible.
What is the most rewarding part of your job? I have recently returned from a 10-day trip visiting our coffee and tea growers in Uganda and Tanzania. It's pretty special to hear first hand from smallholder farmers the difference that Cafédirect makes both to their communities and to their businesses, with our unique Producer Partnership Programme.
What is your motto in life? Try everything once.
What's your nickname? Tarzan believe it or not I used to have long hair!
If you were allowed one dream perk what would it be? Some sort of international secondment perhaps six months working in a co-operative with smallholders in Africa or South America.
What's your favourite movie and why? The Shawshank Redemption it's a feelgood movie without being too cheesy.
What has been the most embarrassing moment in your life? A stag do that involved a Wonder Woman outfit and parading through Oxford!
If you could pick a celebrity to join your staff who would it be and why? Barack Obama we'd have no problem getting our message about Cafédirect's pioneering business out there with him on board!
If you could change one thing in the grocery industry what would it be? The increased focus on price and promotion is now impacting on customer choice and category dynamism. We know that customers are willing to pay more for premium brands and ethical values and this needs to be reflected on shelf.
What animal best reflects your personality and why? A dog fun, dependable and a bit of a rogue.
