What was your first-ever job? I did washing up in a staff canteen and delivered the morning teas and coffees from a trolley. I was destined to work in hot beverages!
What was your worst job interview? When I returned from a year travelling, I interviewed with a well-known chocolate brand. I fell for the oldest trick in the book when the interviewer gets your back up by asking, "Without mentioning your holiday, what qualities do you possess?"
What was the first music single you bought? Adam and the Ants' Stand and Deliver. Quite apt for a career in sales!
How do you describe your job to your mates? I travel all over the country to sell posh coffee to the supermarkets.
What is the most rewarding part of your job? Helping Percol compete with the major players in UK coffee and gaining listings with some truly innovative products.
What is the least rewarding part? Time spent away from home and on the road. Still, there are worse areas of London to work than in Wimbledon... And it's fun when the tennis is on!
What is your motto in life? 'The harder I work, the luckier I get!' so true.
What's your nickname? 'Brooksie'. It used to be 'Beanpole' at school, but I've beefed up a bit since then.
If you were allowed one dream perk, what would it be? It would be great for Percol to sponsor a major sports team my beloved Yeovil Town, for example.
What's your favourite movie and why? I love anything set in Las Vegas.
What has been the most embarrassing moment in your life? It has to be my appearance on the iconic ITV game show The Price Is Right. I got all the way through the show then blew the chance to win a spanking new Vauxhall Tigra ouch!
Do you have any phobias? Being stuck in the lift at work when everyone has gone home.
If you could pick a celebrity to join your staff who would it be and why? The hypnotist Paul McKenna. He would be very useful at buyer meetings!
If you could change one thing in the grocery industry, what would it be? There's too much jargon and sales speak be yourself and say it straight.
What luxury would you have on your desert island? Sky Sports.
What animal best reflects your personality and why? A big bear. I'm quite cuddly and easy-going, but it's best not to make me angry!
