What's your nickname? "Updik" like my father and his father before. When you really think about it, it could have been a lot worse!
Who was your first teenage crush and why? Gabriella Sabatini - that Argentinian beauty of the tennis world. I actually wrote to Jim'll Fix it asking to arrange our own private match at Wimbledon. Alas it never happened.
What did you want to be when you were a kid? Like most kids I wanted to be a professional sportsman. If not a sportsman then Magnum's life as private investigator - more the Ferrari and less the full-on 'tache, of course.
What's your favourite book? The Power Of One - Bryce De Courtenay. The story of a boy's triumph over adversity had me in tears. I can't wait to read it to my little boy.
What's your favourite movie and why? Gladiator. I love epics and Ridley Scott delivers a masterpiece. The hero's journey gets me every time.
What was the most embarrassing moment in your life? My leaving speech from L'Oréal Paris is right up there - great times, train wreck exit!
Do you have any phobias? Sharks - Jaws ruined me. For a man who loves to waterski, wakeboard, dive, surf and swim, not a great phobia.
If you could pick a celebrity to join your staff who would it be and why? Abramovich's money? Branson's acumen? Beckham's worldwide appeal? Wilkinson's relentless application? Well, were he alive I'd take Bruce Lee. The most imaginative, creative and determined individual I ever heard of.
Who would you most like to sit next to on a plane? Will Greenwood. Rugby anecdotes from a man that's done everything in the game. And with the ability to tell it with my kind of humour - priceless.
What's the weirdest thing you've eaten? My years in Paraguay served up some interesting tastes - barbecued lama for one.
