Do you prefer healthy food or junk food? In my job what else can I say! Healthy and made with good quality, locally produced ingredients from the Heart of England, of course.
Have you ever sent back or complained about a meal? Yes, but only once. I was on holiday and we asked our hotel to recommend a nice restaurant, which turned out to be the most expensive restaurant in Rome. We ordered Chateaubriand (in for a penny, in for a pound) and asked for it to be served rare. It was virtually well done when it arrived so at that price I sent it back. The waiter was not pleased but later he warmed to us and we had limoncello on the house.
What would you request as your final meal? Christmas dinner, cooked by my mum. Turkey, with parmesan roast parsnips, cranberry and bread sauces. However, if it was hot I'd choose monkfish.
What's your fantasy car? In my head I drive an Aston Martin, any model and any colour, I'm really not that fussy. In reality I drive a Golf.
What are you reading at the moment? I've just started Never Let Me Go by Kazuo Ishiguro and am also enjoying On Beauty by Zadie Smith. I have just finished Who Moved My Blackberry by Martin Lukes. A funny take on office politics.
What gadgets do you carry around with you? A gadget to peel an orange with. It's just a piece of plastic that you put on your finger like a ring but it has a sharp bit on like a shark fin.
