Greencore has appointed David Price as managing director of its Scotland-based mineral water business Campsie Spring.
Price joined Greencore two years ago and has since held a number of roles, including supply chain director and operations director of Greencore Grocery, and site director for Campsie Spring. Prior to Greencore, Price worked at Safeway in a variety of category management positions ranging from bakery to frozen foods.
Tony Hynes, chief executive of Greencore, welcomed Price's appointment. "Our category managing directors are pivotal to our development as a dynamic group of convenience foods businesses. David has made a significant impact at mineral water and I wish him continuing success as he takes the helm of this exciting category."
Greencore draws its water from the Campsie Fells in southern Scotland and supplies the majority of major retailers, as well as the independent and foodservice sectors.
