Independent confectionery manufacturers Lees of Scotland has appointed Steven Purves as supply chain director.
Purves will be responsible for ensuring all aspects of the supply chain are efficient, including warehousing, transport and purchasing.
He will also be involved in new product development projects and long-term supply strategies.
Purves began his career as a buyer for fresh produce company Fyffes before moving to Capespan. For the past six years he has worked as purchasing manager for the Edinburgh branch of Total Produce, a subsidiary of the global Fyffes brand.
"I have joined Lees of Scotland at an exciting time," said Purves. "The company is becoming more innovative in its sector, developing new products and striving to appeal to a new customer base."
Purves' role was created following the departure of Gordon Linn last November, who moved to Kent Foods.
