Stint as MD comes to end for Urquhart

Ian Urquhart has retired from his position as MD of Gordon & MacPhail after 40 years with the company.

Urquhart will continue to be involved as a non-executive director on a part time basis, taking responsibility for a range of projects.

"We thank Ian for his hard work and commitment to the company," said Michael and David Urquhart, who have assumed the role of joint managing directors. "We wish Ian all the very best in his retirement."

The company's four associate directors, Stephen Rankin, Neil Urquhart, Ewen Mackintosh and Derek Hancock, will also take on additional responsibilities to support the new MDs.
