What’s it like to work for your company? Inverawe is a great place to work although at times it can be frantic and a little frustrating, mainly due to factors beyond our control such as transportation issues. Overall, though, it’s a great company to be part of and I enjoy being here and working with my colleagues.
Why is it a good employer? It’s close to home and a good local business with a fantastic product I truly believe in. I also feel my work and effort are always appreciated.
What’s the best thing about working there? I like making sure our customers are happy and if there are any issues I enjoy solving them. Our customers are lovely and I want to make their experience as good as it possibly can be.
Does the company offer any unusual benefits? We get a lovely hamper at Christmas but my real favourite is being part of the tasting panel every Friday.
How does the company differ from its rivals? Working for Inverawe is like being part of a big family. We all chip in and help each other, no matter what.
Is there a definable company culture? Even though Inverawe has grown over the years, it has still managed to keep its family feel. The culture in the working environment is relaxed and friendly but still hardworking. We are definitely quality focused, regardless of which department we work in.
If the company were a car what would it be? A Jaguar XJS because it’s a reliable, British product that oozes quality and style.
What’s the training like? The training is mainly on the job but I am encouraged to look for any external training that may be of benefit.
Has the company won any awards? It had achieved Investor in People standard before I started. And it has received lots of awards for the quality of its products.
What’s your proudest achievement of the past 12 months? Surviving last Christmas in one piece! It’s our busiest time of year and was a bit like a baptism of fire but I did enjoy it and I’m looking forward to the rush and bustle this year.
Are you looking for any people right now? We will be looking for staff soon in all our departments (warehouse, office, production) to help with the Christmas rush.
How does one go about applying for a job? Send a CV to our email address jobs@inverawe.co.uk
What tips would you offer jobseekers? Be prepared and get to know a little about the business.
How do I find out more? Our website has a great section called About Us.
Are you working on anything exciting right now that you can tell us about?Apart from finalising the Christmas range of gifts and hampers for this season and launching a new cookbook, we are looking to develop some new products next year as well as adding a new extension to the offices.
