What's it like to work for your company? It's an exciting place to work because we're always looking to innovate and find new ways of achieving our objectives. Over the past three years we've successfully launched four new sub-ranges.
What's the best thing about working there? The people. Everyone works together to go the extra mile to ensure we achieve company objectives.
Does the company offer any unusual benefits? Health is a key component of our make-up as a business, so yoghurts and water are usually available in the office along with fruit.
Is there a definable company culture? The culture is vibrant and enthusiastic and departments collaborate really well. Sales and marketing work together closely to identify opportunities to grow the brand and define new territory.
What's the training like? The Danone Academy, held in the UK and campuses across Europe, offers multiple courses aimed at building your functional and general management skills. We offer training for all on leadership. We encourage all to network and share knowledge and best practices with other 'Danoners' in the UK and throughout the world. Some individuals also choose to become trainers and mentors. Finally, we offer up to 30 hours of training to each person per year.
Has the company won any awards? In 2009 we were voted number one in the UK's Great Place to Work survey and came second last year in the competition. It's a measure of how seriously we take staff engagement.
Are you looking for any people right now and, if so, where? We are always looking for Danone people to join our team. As the business is growing, and people are developing throughout the business, locally and internationally, new opportunities are arising all the time, across sales, marketing, supply chain, finance and HR.
How does one go about applying for a job? You can apply to Danone by logging onto http://www.danone.co.uk and clicking on Careers for a specific vacancy or you can send your CV to The Sourcing and Selection Team, Danone, International House, 7 High Street, London W5 5DW.
What tips would you offer jobseekers? Openness is one of the key behaviours we look for in our people. Demonstrating willingness to learn and openness to being challenged is really important.
Are you, or is the company, working on anything exciting right now? Our two biggest priorities have been our two big launches Activia Pouring Yoghurt and Shape Delights, which we just brought to market. It's been a colossal effort to launch both at the same time but indications are that they're both starting to perform.
