What's it like to work for your company? Creed Foodservice is a family-owned company, the business has more than doubled in the past four years and the HR Manager's role has been introduced in the past 12 months. It is exciting and varied.
Why is it a good employer? We have a flat management structure that allows and encourages them to communicate direct with the executive board. We also enjoy what we do!
What's the best thing about working there? Good people make for a good team spirit and camaraderie.
Does the company offer any unusual benefits? The family owns a local golf club so staff discounted rates are offered.
How does the company differ from its rivals? We deliver great customer service I'm sure all our competitors would say the same but we believe ours is second to none. We often hear remarks about our flexibility and our ability to do things at pace.
Is there a definable company culture? The company culture is that of a family-owned business where all are encouraged to take pride in what they do.
If the company were a car what would it be and why? It would probably be a Mercedes truck, as we are a delivered wholesaler!
What's the training like and what qualifications can I earn? We have recently put all our drivers and the majority of our other operational staff through NVQs. We have also had 18 of our customer services team either on an apprentice scheme or NVQs with a local training provider. Currently, our entire night shift team are working towards their NVQs.
Has the company won any awards or been recognised in the past few years as an employer? We were extremely proud that one of our delivery drivers won the first-ever FWD Gold Medal for Driver of the Year, just a year after one of our depot managers also won a FWD Gold Medal.
What's your proudest achievement of the past 12 months? We have introduced voluntary environmental champions, who have become 'our conscience'. We were also delighted to be a finalist in the first Gloucestershire 10:10 environment awards.
