The Co-op has unveiled its Christmas 2024 range, with a focus on indulgence, innovation, and responsibly-sourced ingredients, it says. Among the newcomers are miniature party favourites, including mini versions of carbonara croquettes, cheeseburgers, lasagne and katsu bites, as well as prawn toast tacos.
Meanwhile, a massive Christmas dessert launch features billionaires cheesecakes, apple crumble & custard blondie cups and a spiced gingerbread crown.
“We know shoppers are likely to lean towards smaller and more frequent gatherings again this year,” notes Nicole Tallant, Co-op’s head of brand. “We’ve doubled our premium party food range this year, catering to the rise in smaller more frequent festive gatherings and allowing busy hosts to impress with ease.”
Co-op’s food-to-go offering includes the new peppercorn steak wrap, with a rosemary gravy dipping pot – a first for the category – teaming up with children’s charity Barnardo’s to raise £5m for young people across the UK. As part of the initiative, £50,000 from the sales of Co-op’s Christmas sandwich range will be donated.
