Food importer Rondanini UK is set to introduce DeNada, a new range of Spanish-inspired ready meals and tapas-style dishes, into Tesco stores nationwide from 28 April 2025.
The 12-SKU lineup will provide consumers with ”authentic Spanish flavours” in a convenient format, for less than £5 per dish. The range includes classic dishes such as paellas and pollo con pisto, alongside tapas options like patatas bravas and padrón peppers, as well as dips including romesco sauce and aioli.
The products will be featured in Tesco’s ‘That’s Dinner Sorted’ online section.
“DeNada represents an exciting culmination of our focused efforts to introduce a Spanish brand that brings authentic and innovative Spanish foods to Tesco customers, providing them with a convenient way to enjoy high-quality Spanish cuisine at home,” said managing director Adriano De Vito.
The DeNada launch aligns with a growing consumer interest in convenience foods and global cuisines within the UK market. Take-home value sales of chilled and frozen ready meals have grown by 6.5% to just shy of £5bn on volumes up 3.1%, driven by premium own label and brands [Kantar 52 w/e 29 September 2024].
This trend reflects a shift in consumer preferences towards diverse and culturally rich food experiences at home. By introducing DeNada, Rondanini UK and Tesco say they are responding to this demand, providing accessible Spanish meal options that cater to the evolving tastes of UK consumers.
