Despite refreshed packaging and NPD to appeal to the growth of plant-based diets, including avocado and coconut spreads, sales still fell 6.4%. It’s admittedly better than last year’s 12.2% decline, but as KKR prepares to take on Unilever’s spreads portfolio, it may well have its work cut out.
