Not known for prolific NPD, Mars added a new variant to its bars last year: Chocolate Brownie. The brand’s ongoing decline slowed but still, another £2.9m of value melted away while volumes sank 4.5%, or 4.4 million units, as it continued to bank too much on its countline.
