Hi, The problems in stores today are not your Team Leaders or your Line Managers, as a line manager I am given that many tasks and jobs to do in one day you feel totally run ragged, My team leaders and others hold together the teams which is their job, and most do a fantastic job, the problem is the role of deputy manager which has never worked, the role just stops managers from getting on an running their departments, Dot com senior manager, in our store the line manager and team leaders run dotcom, non foods senior manager, this is where Tesco spend there money and this is where the waste is, anyone with half a brain can see. I worked for Tesco for 20 years and they used to be a fantastic company to work for, structure should be as they planned at first Store Manager, Personel Manager, Line Managers and Team Leaders.
