I've given the company over 30 years service and have worked to my level through all the others and have chosen to go no further. At each and every level I have worked my ass off and still do!

What disappoints me is that when a cull comes, colleagues turn on each other...defending their own position and putting others in the firing line. All this done through lack of understanding of an others role and plain old ignorance and selfishness. If there were a war I wouldn't want the majority of you in my team!

That said I have become very disillusioned with the way the company is moving, guided by, what was once a great board but now by a man who displays the traits of a psychopath with a real disconnect to his people, a lack of empathy and still, the sense to know that multichannel shopping is the future. The problem with this is that this will be the only area with colleagues very soon. Our instore customers will be let down...even more than they are now while Tesco scrapes the last pennies of profit.

Tesco has survived all these years by the loyalty of its army of colleagues and the free time they give however this is now to the point where the contract you sign may as well be given be handed to you from the dark side. Work life balance is a choice however Tesco is taking this away, telling us that we must go in on Sundays and do 12+ hour days for nothing except that we are able to keep our jobs.

Something will happen to all colleagues to make them realise that they are disposable and just a number in a juggernaut that will never stop.

Take my advice, stop waiting for the inevitable and do something for yourselves, make plans because Tesco will replace you in a week and forget you existed within a ....... Who are you again?
