Tesco team leaders seem to be getting a hard deal here. I've worked for tesco 14yrs and seen a lot of change but this seems to be the biggest. I think tesco are making a massive mistake in getn rid of team leaders especially as they only get half a mgr pay and do 90% or the mgr duties. I do think certain areas Mgrs and TL arnt needed and could be covered by others for example 4 TL on counters could b reduced to 1 to over see daily activities. If tesco do get rid of TL I think they will introduce them later dwn the line again but call them something else like team organizer or something.
