As a usdaw union rep I'm very disappointed by the lack of communication. Its clear this would be "leaked" and we have no answers to tell very worried colleagues. I'm also a team leader and fear for my own job. When I look around the shop during "rumble" and see 8 managers picking cardboard I can't help but think what a waste of money. Our store is very much quieter than last year the only staff to go have been general assistant's that earn a lot less than several pointless managers. There is no "making moments matter" and customer service went out the window long ago. Tesco are rapidly falling behind other companies in service and once customers go they won't come back. I will not do a Team Leaders job if I'm paid as a GA.
