i think everyone missed the point they are not getting rid of what team leaders do they are combining the manager and team leader roles to make this new manager team roles. the shame is its the team leader who get the door when many are probably doing the job.

how many of these new manager roles will be actually less money?

service managers who have say 6 dept with several TL will probably be split to 2 new manager roles with no TL. although the TL roles will remain but maybe as another title on high headcount dept.

its poor though that the company can't give any info until is made to look deceitful. things change but not always for the better. Tesco you have damaged your stores staff morale don't make the same mistake again.
