They did this in my store with the produce & non food T/L role 4 years ago. It was trialed, didn't work & the positions were reinstated 2 months later.......who knows what the end outcome will be (as its only being trialed)?? I think an overall structure 'shake up' can only benefit stores, although I think that maybe hitting the T/L roles first could be the wrong move :-/...
