I have worked for Tesco for 24 years, as a GA.
I have seen it all over the years and I am not surprised by this latest revelation.
For years Tesco have used and abused staff, why?, because you let them.
Why do you do hours you are not paid for, or miss breaks, then moan about it.
Many of the TL I know don't even really care about the extra £1 an hour they are paid, they do it for that little bit of power it gives them, they want to feel important.
I'm not saying everyone is like that, but I will watch with interest those, that when all this happens will carry on doing a role they are not recognised or paid for.
