@hi im dave - please do not tar us all with the same brush! I am a TL, and a very hard working one at that. I HAVE been a manager, and I know how hard and stressful their job is. In my store, most of the managers are very hard working and bear no resemblance to some of the comments posted on here. But you must realise, when someones livliehood is threatened, the knee jerk reaction is to hit out. I DO NOT believe that TL run stores, and it is very arrogant of them to think so, BUT most people I know value their job and the role they play within the stores, they are just frustrated that because of the current climate, they cannot carry it out to the best of their ability. I also realise that managers roles may also be under threat, and whilst I hate the thought of ANYONE losing their job, start with the people who earn BIG bonuses and have never set foot in a real store to see the problems we face!
