Tesco wastes enormous amounts of money on all expense paid launches at Heathrow and Ascot, wastes money on POS with half of what comes into stores going straight in the bin, loses literally millions a year in stock not arriving in store through ropey depots, cages going missing on delivery, being top heavy with too many line managers and Better Service Managers whose job is solely to put pretty posters up yet Tesco can't supply the essentials to do you job with a miniscule budget for Click To Order... If a lowly GA can see all this but the top brass can't, then we have serious problems... Tesco are trying to save money in the wrong place this time.

Getting rid of TLs? It just looks a like a bad move. A lot of TLs prop their departments up with Line Managers seemingly unwilling or unable to pitch in. TLs are a big asset with many doing their manager's donkey work and usually over and above their hours for free.

PS. Oh, and Usdaw - what is the point of you exactly?
