yea. I kinda heard about it as early as november last year...Dunno what to think though. As a night manager my job is hard as it is- fill 3 aisles, do holidays, deliver kpi`s and so on- without having to think about training, team 5 and all the other stuff. Looks like it might be a good time to take a good look around...
As to the structure of the company we all agree it has to change. We`re a business and need to make money.The only way to make money is to provide a) stock on sale b) good service and c) lowest prices. It`s quite clear that the current structure doesn`t support that. I mean 20 managers and you can`t get bananas after 18.00 cos non of them will fill and all the staff are away home.
Company need less managers at the store level and managers who understand that their job is to provide for the customer by ANY means.
We need a board that`s not afraid to drop prices. I mean why don`t we accept less profit for a year and oversaturate the market with product that WILL be cheaper than ASDA. Why not push them all out of the business. Go to war and take long term over the short term for once at least. Do something bold and right. C`mon guys...
